This spring saw the revival of the historic farm at Pacific Union College (PUC) with an 11-acre vegetable, fruit, and flower operation called Howell Mountain Farms (HMF). HMF will be a student farm, what Ellen White called “God’s own schoolroom” (COL 87), as well as producing substantial amounts of produce for PUC’s Dining Commons, Howell Mountain Market, a farm stand, and Valley restaurants. Project funds will go towards a fully-automated, 30 X 80 foot, propagation house with roll-up sides and heating.
