ASI Youth for Jesus 2024

Youth for Jesus 2024: Transforming Lives in Orlando

TThis summer, the Youth for Jesus (YFJ) program is set to take place in the Orlando area, bringing together a dynamic group of young people for an enriching and transformative experience. Hosted by the Plymouth Sorrento Church, the program is currently expecting 17 enthusiastic young participants eager to make a difference from July 7 through the ASI Convention on August 3.

What Makes This Year’s Program Unique
One of the standout features is incorporating student-led Bible studies into the nightly presentations. Students will also present a Health nugget each night. YFJ participants will not only learn how to conduct personal Bible studies but will also have the opportunity to integrate health principles into their outreach, providing a holistic approach to ministry. This dual focus aims to address both the spiritual and physical well-being of the community, making the program impactful on multiple levels.

Leading this year‘s initiative are Eric Flickinger from It Is Written; Jack, Phillips from the Georgia-Cumberland Conference; and Doug and Debbie Baker, directors of youth for Jesus. Under their guidance, the young adults will receive mentorship and training to effectively share their faith and serve the community. The dynamic partnership between ASI, It Is Written, and the Georgia-Cumberland Conference promises to provide a profound experience for all involved.

“Youth for Jesus partnered with the Plymouth Sorrento Church the last time ASI was in Orlando,” shares Baker, “so they know YFJ very well. Their church members are movers and shakers. They have great community outreach happening already. We’re excited about working with an active and thriving church.”

Program Highlights

  • Health Nuggets: Each night will start with a simple, healthy meal. During this time, participants will incorporate short, practical health tips into their outreach efforts, addressing essential health topics that resonate with the community.
  • Public Evangelism: The program will culminate in a series of 12 public evangelistic meetings presented by pastor Eric Flickinger, allowing participants to put their training into practice and make a broader impact.
  • One-on-One Bible Studies: Participants will be trained to conduct personalized Bible studies, fostering deeper spiritual connections and understanding. These Bible studies will follow the presentations shared by Flickinger.
