ASI Officers Elected for 2025 -2027 Term
At the 2025 ASI Convention Business Meeting on July 30, chaired by G. Alexander Bryant, North American Division president, ASI members elected Danny Houghton to serve as president for the 2025 – 2027 term. Houghton, currently ASI’s vice president for communication, shared that he is honored to be tasked with leading ASI for the next term and is encouraged by the collaborative spirit of the team. “I’m very pleased with the officer group we have in place,” he said. “Everything we do at ASI requires a strong team effort, and I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together in service to ASI’s mission of sharing Christ in the marketplace.” Houghton has a long history with ASI, having attended every ASI convention since he was 7 years old in 1983, and has previously served in ASI leadership. He is the Chief Customer Officer of Silver Hills Bakery. He and his wife, Sondra, have three young children, Andrew, Olivia, and Layla. They live in Granbury, Texas.
On August 1, the ASI body confirmed the election of a slate of ASI vice presidents, including James Hartley, who returns as general vice president, and five vice presidents, including returning vice presidents Curtis Letniak, president/CEO at Spyder Controls from Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, and Ryan Booth, a general contractor from Northern California. New vice presidents include Sharmini Long, an endocrinologist and co-owner of LiveNew Co. from Castle Rock, Colorado; Greg Perry, a dentist from Antrim, New Hampshire, who will be moving from his current position as president of the Atlantic Union ASI Chapter; and Robert Hunsaker, a physician from Stoneham, Massachusetts. Denzil McNeilus is appointed to the executive committee team as the president and chair of ASI Missions Inc. Dan Houghton and Rusty McKee are also appointees to the ASI Board as Members-at-Large.
Rick Remmers, assistant to the president for the North American Division, expressed confidence in the process and the leadership selected. “It’s encouraging to see a smooth and prayerful process result in a strong, balanced team,” he said. “With a mix of experienced and new leaders, ASI is well positioned to continue advancing the mission.”
