AMEN’s Health Video Project:

Bridging the Gap Between Physical and Spiritual Health 

In today’s fast-paced world, health advice often focuses solely on physical well-being, leaving the spiritual dimension behind. But AMEN (Adventist Medical Evangelism Network) is working to change that narrative. With financial support from ASI, AMEN has produced a series of short, engaging health videos that bridge the gap between physical and spiritual wellness.

A Vision for Wholistic Health

The AMEN Health Video Project integrates cutting-edge medical science with timeless spiritual principles, offering viewers a comprehensive understanding of health and well-being. These videos are designed to educate, inspire, and uplift viewers, helping them discover the connection between their health and their relationship with God.

The videos cover a wide range of topics—including gut health, cancer, forgiveness, and sleep—and are designed to be versatile. They’re perfect for:

  • Waiting Rooms: Clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare settings can play these videos for patients while they wait, offering meaningful insights instead of idle scrolling on social media.
  • Church Settings: Churches can incorporate the videos as health spotlights, educational series, or part of evangelistic meetings, using them to spark meaningful conversations about health and faith.
  • Sharing with Friends and Family: Each video is short and easy to share, making them ideal for personal witnessing or sharing on social media to encourage loved ones.

Key Features of the Project

  • High-Quality Content: Eight videos are already completed, with topics ranging from gut health and addiction to resilience and neuroplasticity. A promotional trailer provides an inspiring overview of the series.
  • Easy Access: QR code cards link directly to specific videos, allowing healthcare providers to “prescribe” them to patients, and giving individuals a simple way to share health advice with others.
  • Bite-Sized and Engaging: Each video is only 5 to 20 minutes long, making them accessible and impactful even for busy viewers.

A Growing Series

While eight videos are already available, AMEN is hard at work on more. Topics in production include anxiety, depression, and positive thinking, with plans for a full series of 13 videos to be completed soon. Looking ahead, additional topics like epigenetics, oral health, cardiology, and Sabbath rest will further expand the series.

AMEN is also developing a global health brand to broaden the reach of the videos and make them accessible to a wider audience beyond the Adventist community.

Transforming Waiting Rooms and Beyond

Currently, the completed videos are being used in AMEN Free Clinics, where patients watch them in waiting areas. This simple change transforms a routine waiting experience into an opportunity for patients to receive practical health advice while being introduced to the hope and healing found in Christ.

Churches and individuals can also use these videos to make a difference in their communities. Whether they’re shown during a health seminar, played in a church lobby, or shared with a neighbor, the videos provide a simple, effective way to inspire others.
